Children of Incarcerated Parents Bill of Rights

The Council is one of 14 lead agencies across the country that was chosen to work with the SOROS Foundation and the Family and Corrections Network to implement recommendations from the Children of Incarcerated Parents Bill of Rights. The application of this Bill of Rights will include changes in policies and procedures that uphold the safety, dignity, and well-being of children that have a parent in prison. The Council is coordinating a collaboration of more than a dozen groups in Minnesota that is advocating for these rights here.
